Assistant Teachers

Summary:

  • Hiring assistant teachers for all rooms
  • Ages infant-kindergarten
  • Full-time positions


Responsibilities:

  • Assist Lead Teacher with both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.
  • Provide input for bi-annual assessment of children’s development
  • Maintain daily open communication with parents
  • Keep accident reports
  • Maintain anecdotal records
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Report any suspect abuse to supervisor
  • Arrange a classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials
  • Attend inservice and staff meetings
  • Keep all appropriate records such as records, attendance and timesheets.
  • Meet all applicable licensing regulations
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, sit comfortably on the floor with the children, and be outside with the children in different weather as the schedule requires.

Qualifications:
Must have one of the following:
High School Diploma AND minimum 1 year of experience working in an early childhood program
Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential

Aides and Floaters

Summary:

  • Hiring aides and floaters for all rooms
  • Ages infant-kindergarten
  • Full-time and Part-time positions

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Lead and Assistant teacher in implementing curriculum
  • Maintain daily open communication with parents
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Report any suspect abuse to supervisor
  • Assist in maintaining classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Report any damaged or lost materials to a supervisor
  • Attend inservice and staff meetings
  • Meet all applicable licensing regulations
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, sit comfortably on the floor with the children, and be outside with the children in different weather as the schedule requires.

Qualifications:
Must have one of the following:
High School Diploma
Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential
2 years of experience working with young children
